How we work

A quote you can read before anyone touches anything. No surprises on the day.

We identify the material first, tell you whether it can safely stay or has to come out, and put the price in writing. Work that needs an HSE licence goes to a licensed team. You always get the waste paperwork.

Why a proper quote matters

What cheap asbestos removal really costs

Four ways to deal with asbestos, ranked by what they cost you in the end. The cheapest-looking one rarely is.

A written, scoped quoteMaterial identified, method agreed, price fixed.

Clean-up
A quote that arrives without anyone identifying the material is a guess. Ours starts with knowing exactly what it is.

Artex or textured ceiling

Artex or textured ceiling

Most pre-1985 textured coatings contain some asbestos. Sanding or scraping it is the danger — leave it to us.

Cracked or mossy cement roof

Cracked or mossy cement roof

Garage and outbuilding roofs in corrugated cement are the commonest find in the city. Weathering makes them worth dealing with.

Victorian red-brick terraced street in Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton's housing

If it was built before 2000, it may be there.

Wolverhampton grew around its industry. Victorian terraces sit close to the centre, inter-war and post-war estates spread out to Penn, Bushbury and Fordhouses, and the 1960s to 1980s brought garages, extensions and industrial units across the city. Anything built or altered before 2000 can contain asbestos, and in Wolverhampton that covers a very large share of the roofs, ceilings, floors and outbuildings.

Roofs, garages, ceilings, floor tiles, soffits. We remove all of them, and tell you honestly which ones can stay.

Before you ring

Questions we get asked

Does asbestos have to be removed?
Not always. Asbestos in good condition that will not be disturbed is often safest left where it is and checked occasionally. It needs to come out when it is damaged, deteriorating or in the way of planned work. We tell you honestly which applies.
What is the difference between licensed and non-licensed work?
Higher-risk materials such as lagging, sprayed coatings and most insulating board need an HSE licence, notification and strict controls. Lower-risk materials such as cement sheets, textured coatings and vinyl floor tiles are generally non-licensed. We confirm which applies at the quote stage.
How do you know it is asbestos?
You cannot tell by looking. A small sample goes to a laboratory for identification, and we only price removal for what is confirmed or what must be presumed.
Can I remove an asbestos garage roof myself?
Disturbing the sheets by breaking, drilling or pressure-washing releases fibres, and the waste cannot go in a skip or household bin. Most people hire a professional for the safety, the speed and the paperwork. Fly-tipped asbestos is a criminal offence and can be traced back to the owner.
How long does removal take?
A single garage roof is often completed within a day. Ceilings, floors and larger or licensed jobs take longer, and the quote includes a realistic programme.
Where does the waste go?
To a site permitted to accept asbestos waste. You receive a waste consignment note for your records.
Do I need to leave the house during the work?
For most external jobs, no. For internal work such as ceilings and floors we tell you in the quote which rooms are out of use and for how long.
Are there any extra charges?
The price in the written quote is the price. If something unexpected is found on site, we stop and talk to you before anything is added.
What if the material turns out not to be asbestos?
Then you have saved money. We tell you, and quote ordinary removal if you still want it gone.
Do you work on commercial premises?
Yes, offices, shops, schools, blocks of flats and industrial units, scoped from your survey or register and programmed around your operations.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Wolverhampton and the wider Black Country. Ring if you are not sure we reach you.
Do I need a survey first?
For building work, yes — the affected areas must be surveyed. For a straightforward roof or ceiling we can often identify the material ourselves and quote the removal in one visit.

Do not break it up. Get it quoted first.
